To mark the 2023 International Transgender Day of Visibility, Special Collections intern and History graduate student Juniper Oxford wrote the latest post on the Special Collections blog, Trans Visibility in Out in the Mountains. She relied on the UVM Libraries’ digital version of Out in The Mountains, a newspaper that focused on issues important to LGBT Vermonters from 1987 to 2007, to do the research for her article.
